Hi,

I'm new on NMT and GB PVR, so please tolerate me.Smile

Every thing is done A per the Martin's instruction (telnet is ok as well pvrx2 is running in my computer) but unfortunatly when I run,
/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 -m 720 --frequency 60 --emulate 192.168.0.1

TV screen flashes and then black screen! I cheked every thing, I read all the posts but found nothing to help me, I can not undrestand what is wrong with my setting! might be the matter of egreat!?

Computer and NMT are connected to gether thru a D-link switch,
Computer IP is 192.168.0.1
NMT IP is 192.168.0.99

I attached the logfile , please help me.

Thnak U inadvanced for your considrationSmile

Could you try this changing -m 720 to

-m 1080p
-m 1080
-m pal --edtv

I'm concerned about ERR RUA VSYNC EVENT - OSD in the putty log, you probably should unplug the egreat to restart

You might have an old version of mvpmcx2, I see in this log

# /etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 -m pal --edtv
/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2: unrecognized option `--edtv'

I don't understand the RUA error either. Could you issue the ps command the next time you are capturing in putty?

The actual command is just the two letters ps which will provide information on the all the programs that are running. I just want to ensure that egreat doesn't have something odd running.

Ok I noticed that the gaya process is running so you cannot test and run while this is the case. The simplest linux command to stop gaya is

killall gaya

and then you can try the mvpmcx2 command lines.

To restart gaya (which is the egreat NMT front end) while mvpmcx2 is connected to GBPVR is to hit the power off.

The good news is that this does look like the standard list for an NMT device with a hard disk loaded so I am expecting this to work.

Those logs are good because mvpmcx2 started and now I see

Querying host parameters
Querying host parameters
...

This means that you either haven't told GBPVR to autostart an MVP server in config.xml, the recording services isn't running or the firewall is blocking you.

Your "thumbs" are doing fine, this is not an easy process for most people.
