My setup is HDHR + 2X WinTV USB2 + MVP + PCH + GB-PVR 1.2.9.. All of this was working fine until I used a software tool today to remove some registry entries for some filters that had not been completely uninstalled (none of these filters were used by GB-PVR). Now when I try to map digital channels to EPG channels I get the subject error message. There is also an error message in config.exe.log "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"..... I cant decode the balance of the message. I have rebooted, restarted recording service and restarted the HDHR manager. I have reregistered filters and attached the log files including bda.ini and filtercheck.log. Bda.ini had not changed since before all this happened and I can't spot any problems in filtercheck.log. I'm now stuck and would appreciate any assistance.

What does the "Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner 1011F2C7-1" entry in your bda.ini file look like? It looks like its got something funny defined.

I dont see anything strange but maybe I am missing something--the file was included in the logs I sent.

Its not supposed to have that "TUNING_SPECIAL=1" line. That is only used for OnAir GT devices.

Didnt know that. Thanks. I removed it. The problem, however remains unchanged.

Try TUNING_SPECIAL=2, otherwise you might need to wait to of the guys familiar with the HDHomeRun spots this thread (like Whurlston), or double check the tutorial over at the HDHomeRun forums.

No luck. I'll do as you suggest. Thanks for trying Sub.

There is a way to get one of the tuning_special commands working with the HDHomeRun. I think it is "2" but it requires a couple of registry modifications for it to work and it will stream the entire QAM channel through your network. I made a post about it in the hardware forum some time back. If I can find it, I'll post the link.
If you want to stream just the filtered channel though, you need to remap with the HDHomeRun's lineup editor and remove the tuning_special.

whurlston Wrote:Found it: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=34204 It was tuning_special=1Hmm, I'm pretty sure it had to be "2". "1" wont do anything unless you have OnAir GT filters in your graph. |
