It has been working well and doing stirling work so far - many thanks.

After a large session of adding episode names after viewing with VLC, getting rid of repeats and general tidying up - I have yet another request Sire. Would it be possible to configure the viewing program rather than being restricted to VLC? I ask because I have been doing a lot of going backwards and forwards using VideoRedo to manually cut pre, post and adverts. It would be nice to be have the option of using that as the viewer in this case.

cheers
Martin

New version on Wiki here.

07/23/2008 : 3.0.0.0
 • Added ability to set desired player in config. If you dbl-click on a movie, it will be launched with your preferred player. Copy the block below and modify to your desired player:
<!-- ViewerProgram and ViewerParms - Functionality for Entry Preview -->
<!-- ViewerProgram - If missing, defaults to VLC if installed and found -->
<!-- ViewerParms - Parameters to launch file. $FileName will be replaced -->
<!-- with selected filename. -->
<add key='ViewerProgram' value='C:/Program Files/Windows Media Player/wmplayer.exe' />
<add key='ViewerParms' value='$FileName' />
If missing, will default to VLC (if installed and found).

You may want to put <code> or whatever round the config bits on the wiki - it appears to be translating them making cut & paste cause errors.

Is it right that the executable is still dated 28 Feb ??. I'm still away so haven't been able to fire it up yet.

Done, good catch, I didn't even notice that.

Thanks again, back home, will give it a whirl if it cools down enough in the shack to make it habitable!

Wow, over a year ago and still working fine with no problems.

One little thing has arisen though. The "channel" box has always been empty - I hadn't paid much attention to this, but I notice that some very recent recordings have the channel name in now, where as older ones don't.
The database entries seem to be correct, with the oid pointing to a correct entry in the channel table.
What I'm after is that some of the shows that I am recording are being repeated, but on digital channels so the quality is much better than the old STB/PVR150 recordings, so I'm trying to get rid of duplicates that are from analogue channels.

Any thoughts on how to get the display of teh channel name on old recordings fixed??

regards
Martin

Try this version. It only allows you to update channel on previous recorded entries (not on pending or full-epg). I think this is ok to do, since it is only updating the channel oid for a program that has already been recorded and exists in the past.

Many thanks for teh quick response. I'm just checking email before going out so can't try it at the moment.

I think I may have badly written my request though - I don't really have the need to change the channel data - the thing is that it is not displaying it for any but extremely recent recordings (may coincide with 1.4.7. upgrade)..
