Hi All,

I was wondering if GBPVR supports the old DISH 500 (non-DishPro) LNB's with the built-in SW21 switches? Or even the DPP44 (Dish Pro Plus 44) switches? Haven't be able to find a definitive answer yet by searching.

Thanks!

Cheers,
Kermee

I know it supports the legacy LNBs but I thought the SW21 was a separate switch:confused: GBPVR does not support the SW21, but you can use a legacy LNB and regular diseqc switch if you are using a twinhan or other supported card. (if you don't have a twinhan, you better ask if switch support is available)

Ah yes. The SW21 is a separate switch.

The old DISH 500 Twin I have is a dual legacy LNB with a built-in SW21 switch. Was hoping to being able to use it but it looks like I won't be able to.

Thanks!

you can use the DPP44 (Dish Pro Plus 44) switch or any dpp equipment with gbpvr, but you will need to modify the transponder ini files to function properly with dpp equipment since it doesn't work the same way legacy equipment works.
If you are interested pm me and I can go ever the info and I can give you the already modified transponder ini files to save you the time figuring out how to do that part.
