Hi friends,

I'm wondering if someone can send me step-by-step instructions on how to set up my remote.

I just got a STB with AT&T U-Verse. I have Hauppauge 150. I'm trying to figure out how to use my remote now.

I think I have to go through HIP??? Anyway, i have no idea how to install HIP and the wiki seemed a bit 'wanting'.

So, I'm wondering if someone can kindly help me get my Hauppauge 150 to control my STB...

OK, this is from memory as I did away with the stb a while back, so I can;t guarantee 100% accuracy...

You need the two haupauge apps installed : IR32.exe and IRblast.exe found on the hauppauge driver CD
Get the remote to control GBPVR by by selecting config -> DVD -> Fix hauppauge remote. Restart IR.exe and test it works.
Teach the IR blaster program the codes for the STB.
Go to config -> capture sources -> edit capture source -> and select exe on the channel changer dropdown.
Select the IRblaster exe in the channel changer settings.

That should be it.

no it means that I understood what i need to do. The problem is that getting the code has been difficult. Anyway, it doesn't make too much sense for me to run GBPVR with a STB. GBPVR is much better than what ATT throws at me. The problem is that I need a STB to get their signal. so i think i gotta figure something else out!

I run GBPVR with a STB but I could never get the blaster included with the PVR150 to work with the STB from my tv provider. I bought a USBUIRT 3 yrs ago and never looked back! It works great, stable and don't have any problems.
