In fact I have to different questions.

First, which is the best way to find channels in GBPVR, because there is two channels missing for me that I can't find, but if I use another app to watch TV I can find them.

Second, does I have to record if I use GBPVR? Because it's recording all the time, even if I only choose to watch LiveTV.

Hope u guys out there understand my problems and can help me out.

To answer your second question first: you cannot watch live tv in gbpvr without recording it, since it enables you to pause and rewind and what have you =)

The first question is trickier to answer without knowing more about your setup. How have you added the channels? Via EPG or the tuningassistant? One thing you could try is if you have configured you capture source to be "antenna" then change this to "cable". In some countries terrestrial signals are broadcasted in the "cable" frequency range.

Probably you do know the frequencies of these channels? You can insert these frequencies in the registry. Take a look at:

Options for caption sources can be found here.

I can't get this to work, can't find the frequency of the channels and the second problem is that I don't have that post in the register

What channel is missing you don't say?
How are you connecting through ATV, CATV, SATV?
I'm in Sweden and I'm missing "Kanal 5" and "MTV". Think its CATV, but I'm not sure...

Would be greatful if anyone could tell me exact how to do in GB-PVR to find these...

EDIT: Now I have found the frequencies but I don't know how to use them...

I use WinTV PVR-250. And I don't use any box to get them in, just straight in to the computer

- I guess on the website of your cable-tv-provider you can find the frequency of MTV
- the exact location to post the frequency to can be found on http://msdn.microsoft.com/library....des.asp

Another option is to use FreqCopy

Ok; a little more help:
- start regedit
- go to key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\TV System Services\TVAutoTune\TS0-1
- right-click on TS0-1
- Choose new > DWORD
- Enter the number of an unused-channel (e.g. 100)
- Double-click on this channel > a popup appears
- Choose decimal
- Enter the frequency (e.g. 792000000)
- Close regedit
- Open GBPVR-config
- Choose channel 100 for MTV

That should be all.
