I cannot get the Hauppauge HD-PVR to work with GB pvr
I am using Vista and three things are happening
1) When i set up a capture device I get an error that the driver does not appear to be available. I can capture with the Arcsoft software supplied
2) The status box always shows the device as sleeeping
3) I get an error that the recording service cannot start
Any help would be great

Run filtercheck.exe from the gb-pvr directory, then zip and attach the filtercheck.log and I'll take a look.

The names look ok there. Did you set the device number correctly? It should be device number 1.

Reproduce the problem though, and zip and attach the logs and I'll take a closer look.

You'll need to set your log level back to "Debug" and post a new set of logs after reproducing the problem.

Quote:2008-08-24 18:53:04.640 VERBOSE [1] GBPVR.Backend.Common.GbpvrException: No channels have been set up. Please run the Configuration utility and setup the EPG source. Use the 'Update EPG' button to force the system to import the latest set of channel and programme information.
It looks like you havnt set up the EPG in your capture source.

Alternatively, it could be the vista file protection getting in the way. If you have setup your EPG (and can see channel names listed in the config app), then try deleting the "c:\users\<account name>\appdata\local\virtualstore\program files\devnz" directory.
