Playing Ripped DVDs from Hard Drive?

This has got to be a FAQ but sorry that I can't find it. How can I play my DVD Decrypter'ed DVDs with GB-PVR?

Yes it can. If its stored as an iso, you need to have daemon tools installed. Otherwise, just navigate the media library to a DVD directory that contains the VIDEO_TS directory and you should be away.

Is there a way to bypass the trailers and go straight to the menu? On my set top player I can just hit the Menu button on my remote.

You could try pressing the ctrl-b/blue key which will take you to the menu. Also 'skip' jumps forward a chapter, which *may* also allow you to jump through the trailers.

I dont do the playback myself, but instead hand control over to the Microsoft DVD Navigator control, which is responsible for deciding whether you can bypass the FBI warnings etc.

IOf you use DVD2One after DVD Decrypter, you can get rid of anything on the original that you don't want and just takes up space, like different languages, subtitles, and menus...

Dvd2one you have to pay for? Why wouldn't Dvdshrink do the samething for free?

Okay I got a few things working with this.. I am using the plugins for MyVideo and XRecorder. I use DVDShrink to make my ISO and use less room on the HDD. On my PC I can launch the DVD ISO just fine and it is automatically mounted with d-tools (daemon tools). Good deal!

Now, when I try to do this with my MVP, nothing... so I go back to the PC and I have a new window up, can't see it but I hear the movie playing. Not exactly what I wanted.. but if that's it, well that's it.. But surely I'm doing something wrong. In anycase I have started to play with DVD2MPG and it works good, and of course the MPG is decoded by the MVP anyway, but the time from DVD to MPG is a long journey.. I guess I was looking for a quick method with the ISO.

the MVP wont play back dvds, or isos. so you have to use DVD2MPEG

Thanks I finally figured that out, of course if I had more time and read more of the forums I'd figured it out quicker. But at least I'm a bit better getting my GBPVR working the way I wan. Now I do have some plugin issues, but I need to document the problem, try to duplicate it and then post in the proper areas.

Man the help on this site is amazing!
