I've been struggling trying to get this working. I have a feeling it's a combination of video/audio codecs based on everything I've read but I'm not having much luck.

Basic problem is I can hear sound but my video won't work whether it's live video or from my hard drive.

Attached are my zipped up files.

Thanks for the help.

Try setting the deinterlacing setting to 'encoder pass through'. (misc tab of config app)

I tried the 'encoder pass through' but it didn't seem to help.

I had this working on another computer before trying to install it on this one and the I had changed the video and audio decoders to MPV and MPA like you typically suggest and it worked fine. For some reason on this PC, it doesn't work.

The attached logs are with the ffdshow video and audio decoder. For what it's worth, I also tried MPV and MPA and a combination of each.

Do you have any others that you suggest trying?

Ok, I got it to work, briefly. If I change the video decoder within the settings tab, I can then go back and watch live tv. The sound is about 3 seconds ahead of the video though. But when I close the program and open it back up, I have to go change the settings to something else and back again to get it to work. (with the 3 sec delay) Any suggestions? I have a Pentium 4 1.89Ghz PC with 512Mb of DRAM. That should be plenty, right?

Oh, one last thing. I can only get it to work with the deinterlacing set to none.

Can you set it back to 'encoder pass through', and show the logs with the MPV/MPA decoders?

To be honest, I'm not really sure - the logs look fine with no sign of any errors.

Should it not work with the deinterlacing set to none? What about the delay between the video and the sound, any suggestions? What are your thoughts on my computer specs. Shouldn't it be fast enough?

The app is only ever tested with 'encoder pass through', and there are a variety of reasons why I recommend people stick to this default setting.

This is a common problem when you use deinterlace settings other than 'encoder pass through'. It was only the some of the earlier Hauppauge cards that work ok with the other settings.

Yeah, it should be fine.

Ok thanks. I'm ultimately going to plug this into my television and my computer doesn't have an output for this so I'm going to have to go buy a different video card. Will that have an impact on this or does that even matter?
