I have an existing PBPVR150 which connects to my Sky NZ settop box.
I am adding a HVR3000 which will provide freeview NZ programming
This means I have many of the freeview channels twice, once from Sky and once through freeview.

So my question is where I have channel "TV1" on Sky (set via revens xmltvnz??) and freeviews name of "TV ONE" set via the discovered name over the DVB-S connection, how do I make them the same name so I only get one EPG entry and could watch/record same time?

I have had this wortking previously but cannot seem to get it working again

Thanks

I always recommend against using a mixture of xmltv and dvb epg if there is a channel overlap. Otherwise you'll get problems from the with slightly different channel names, slightly different show names/times/descriptions etc.

I use dvbtoxmltv to generate a xmltv file from my DVB-S capture source, then all of my capture sources use the xmltv plugin and that same file (even though they provide different subsets of the channels).

Thanks for the advice, I will give that a shot. only thought is that I only have a small subset of channels available through my DVB-S so I am thinking I will not be able to receive the encrypted sky channels EPG through the DVB-S card??

Thanks

dvbtoxmltv will download the listings for all your sky and freeview channels, even if these are not channels in your capture source.

After you set it up, make sure you apply this updated version of the executable which has been updated to account for a change in the broadcast stream: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...stcount=25

Hi Sub,

Everytime I run dvbtoxmltv.exe it gets as far as trying 12644 with a coutdown of 5 seconds then throws a windows error report.

Is there any way I can see what it might be choking on?

I have included the xml file as I have played with it, in case I made a mistake

I cant see anything obvious in the logs, but can you tell me if you remove the 12644 line from the xml file, does it complete?
