Hi!

A few months back i purchased an ASUS P7131 Hybrid, with the pupose of using the digital side of the card to watch TV. The software delivered with the card was rubbish, so i turned to GBPVR for the solution.

I got my card working using the information in this post:

Today i did a format of my computer, and wanted to install GBPVR again. However, after mapping channels, entering PVRX2 and choosing "Live TV", i am shown the following message:

"No tuners available to watch the requested channel. You can choose to watch one of the currently recording programmes."
It leaves me with 1 option; "Dont watch TV".

The odd thing is, that the channel manager scanned for the channels fine, and could even preview audio (altho not video).

I've tried rebooting, restarting the recording service, and re-registering filters.

ANY help is appriciated!

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

I had a lot of logs because i've been messing around with it for some time, so i cleared out the logs folder, rebooted and reproduced the problem (in PVRX2).

I hope a zip is cool.

EDIT: Ofcourse a zip is cool, you asked for it - silly me : o

In the config app, enable live preview mode, and also set the live tv buffer directory to a location that exists.

I'm afraid i have another set of logs for you

I can now actually get past the error message, to the point were PVRX2 is running, and i'm able to switch channels.

I now get programm information on the GUI, and audio. Picture is pitch black tho.

I think you dont have an MPEG2 decoder installed. Try http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPV_Decoder.htm

I must've installed a codec pack or something prior to using GBPVR before the format, thus i never fooled around with decoders and stuff. It wasn't even on my mind.
