I have read all the other threads but the fix of changing the <AllowableTimeslotVariance>0</AllowableTimeslotVariance> to zero doesn't appear to have worked.

I want to record "mythbusters" from 8-9pm and "the Border" from 9-10pm
even with the above change under the recurring tab it shows "mythbusters 8-9p," and " the border 9-10pm" which looks correct. But under the conflicts tab (and the orangish bar in the guide) the conflict says "the Border from 7:30 to 10:30) why is it still giving it a 90min variance?

Will it record ok?

TIA

Mike

The <AllowableTimeslotVariance> setting is only read when the season recording is created, so if you change it, you'd have to recreate a season recurring.

Quote:But under the conflicts tab (and the orangish bar in the guide) the conflict says "the Border from 7:30 to 10:30) why is it still giving it a 90min variance?
That setting above should only effect the display on the 'Recurring' list, not the conflict list. Please reconfirm.

thanks for the fast response sub,

On the conflicts page it says as follows

The Border: Stop Loss Conflict
9/29/2008 7:30pm - 10:30pm CBOT

But on the recurring page it is as follows
The Border Recurring
Monday, between 9:00p, -9:00pm CBOT

I have deleted both recurring recordings and reset them after the timeslotvariance change and same result.
Wierd , I have had back to back recordings before and have never noticed this before.

If you delete those conflicts and recreate the season recording, do they get recreated?

deleted both and recreated , they recreated with the same conflict and the 9-10 show had the conflict and the 90min before and after. I then deleted all recurring programs , rebooted and went in the guide to reset the recording and noticed the red bar highlighting from 7:30 to 10:30 in the guide. I doubled checked and no recordings were scheduled yet when I went back to the guide the show "the Border" from 9pm to 10pm was highlighted red ?????????????????? So I canceled that by clicking on it and it removed itself and the guide was clear. Both 8-9 and 9-10 recordings reset without conflicts.

what the..... it seems my 9-10 show was in there twice although it didn't appear in the scheduled recordings.

Anyways , thanks for all the help......although I'm still not sure what happened .
