I've never had a series of back-to-back recordings complete successfully. Sometimes 2 of the 3 will record, sometimes 1 of the 2 -- the only consistency is that it always appears to be the last in the series that fails. I'm tempted to always record an extra show on the end to see if it makes a difference Smile Single recordings and those spaced apart by a half hour or so seem to work just fine.

Logs attached.

The PC is dedicated for HTPC use, so nothing else deliberate was going on during the recordings. I've been chasing this one for a while without success, so any ideas/suggestions/criticism are appreciated.

Thanks.

What was the name and times of the last failed recording, so I know where to look in those logs?

Of course -- sorry...

Tonight's events were:
Terminator at 19:00
Heroes at 20:00
I have 1 min of pre- and 2 min of post-recording set up.

Terminator recorded perfectly. The Heroes folder has two DVR-MS files that are each 6k in size. The tray icon said it was recording for the full hour, and it looks like commercial skip ran after the time was up. The entry in "Recordings" says it was successful and lasts 1 hour, but obviously nothing plays when I try.

Thanks sub -- this software stuff is like black magic to me - I'll stick with hardware design!

I would try disabling the 'out of process' recording and see if it helps. This option is only really intended to be used by DVB users recording encrypted channels. I dont think its ever been tested with ATSC/QAM.

Thanks sub. I actually turned it on last night in hopes of fixing the issue (crashed last night, too) by having things in different processes, but I'll turn it off and post another set of log files when it happens again.

Thanks.
