After much playing around and hunting through the forums, I have managed to get live tv to play on my client but when I change the channel I get exactly 3 seconds of the new channel then it freezes. I can only get out through the task manager. On restarting and returning to live tv I get the channel I have changed to but further changes have the same result. Live tv runs fine on the server BTW

I am streeming and using the cyberlink BDA multiplexer on the server

Thanks lenor. I did find this thread in my searching and have tried the patch, FTA (thats all I have), with and without MDAPI, recording in and out of process but all with exactly the same result. I reliably get 3 seconds of the changed chanel then freeze. The recording service on the server carries on too as in your case. File sharing gets the stuttering described.

Any other thoughts?

3 seconds then freeze >> exactly as it's here on my system! however, as it's just FTA for you, you should not really need MDAPI enabled and, thus, could be a different thing! anyway, post your logs, perhaps sub can find something useful in there.

OK log files attached. As a note, the first channel change after a fresh start happens OK but the next gives me the 3 second then freeze problem.

Any help greatly appreciated

Set the logging level back to debug and reproduce the problem and repost the logs and I'll see if anything stands out.

I think the problem is something to do with the Cyberlink mux taking too long to start producing a stream. You could try increasing the live tv pre play delay on the client, or maybe the ATI mux on the server?
