Music Plugin is kind of an enhanced database driven version of Music Library.
Main features:
- 4 Views, Folder, Artist, Album and Genre
- Search in all View modes
- Edit Tags
- Create Playlists
- MusicArt thumbnail folders

The database creation and scanning of MP3, WMA, M4A, FLAC and OGG music files will be done upon installation. This will take some time depending of the amount of music files.
For now only Blue and Basic skin is supported.
There are probably bugs...so bare with it.

- Disable autoscan in MusicScanner, set hour to 0.
- New song QUEUE system so it harmonize with Music Library

- Filters unwanted chars from remote control. Configurable in file music.xml

Hmmm, I get these errors/debugs. Still playing with it, has great promise!
[EDIT1]When it hangs with these errors, it doesn't let you get out I had to kill the process.

MixMan I like the looks of this plugin but I have the same problem as jksmurf when I try to scan I get the date time string error. I don't have to kill the process, I have to go into the Vista interactive desktop prompt to click an OK on a dialog that the scan wasn't complete. I end up recreating the database and searching again to make changes.

Playing on the PCH my songs are coming out in order by track, but maybe that is because mine are all 01 02 etc Looking forward to more enhancements.

The only other major comments for me are

- the low res of the store thumbnail art,
- the fact that on an album view I see the same album art checker boarding the screen, - having to do a full scan to get album art,
- no apparent why to disable scan

Very nice first release.

I have not yet installed this, but from what I see here, I would add 2 things to a wishlist:
1) A separate tag for composer(s). ML2/3 has that option.
2) Quite often there are there are more than one artist in the artist tag. It would be nice to have the ability to select all tracks from one single artist (or composer). This would require an agreed separator between artist names. (This is on the top of the ML2/3 todo list, but may require quite drastic changes in the database design to be effficient)

I got the same error as jksmurf. It Still seamed to scan all my music and cover art.

I am the developer of MusicScanner och Music plugin, I have written it with input from MixMan. I am sorry about the DATE TIME bug in MusicScanner, I found the problem and will put a fix here soon, or if MixMan want to put it on the Wiki.

But now it's saturday and my girlfriend don't want me to sit at the computer.
