Directv installation

I am going to be signing up for Directv next week. I am still going to be using GBPVR with this. So I want 2 STB hooked to the HTPC, so my question is. Has anyone had the installers put 2 boxes in the same location? I'm just wondering if they are weird about doing this or not.

He will get paid for the installation of two boxes but only have to do the work for a one box install.

The installer will love you.

Excellent... do you have Directv? If so, do you control your STBs via IR or serial?

I control my Directv box with IR. Works like a charm.
I have 1 box dedicated to the TV, 1 dedicated to GB-PVR. They are not in the same location, however.

My goal is to have my HTPC be the only box that receives the signal from the STB. Then I want to build a small client machine for my bedroom, etc.

Then I can either drop the 3rd STB or move it to my HTPC.
