Since installing GB-PVR every time I put my XP Pro SP3 computers into standby they wake up within half an hour. Is there any way to stop this behavior?

Note that this happens even if there are no recordings scheduled.

Thanks.

In the network-card settings: do you have the "only allow network managing stations to wake this system" It's a translation from dutch:confused:, so I hope you find it. It's the 3rd option in the energy settings-tab of the network card settings.

sometimes you have to check the nic settings as mine [Intel] has settings to wake upon any network activity, or only upon magic wake packet. [at least in XP]
choose only the magic wake packet if you have that option..
[i thought the 'management' option was only in Vista]

I have checked both computers and on both the "Allow this device to biring the computer out of standby" option is NOT checked. Any other ideas?

This is behavior is definitely caused by GB-PVR because neither computer ever came out of standby by itself until GB-PVR was installed.

I may have solved the problem for one computer. The keyboard was set to allow the device to wake the computer from standby. I disabled that and the computer has been in standby for 40 minutes now.
