1.3.7 TS not working with comskip

Since switching to using the multi TS mux, 1.3.7 no longer reads the comskip txt files to skip ads for me. My old dvr-ms files still playback fine.

Has anyone else experience this?

Try adding enable_mencoder_pts=1 to the comskip.ini file. This will be for future recordings. On your old TS files you may need to remux them.

My (vague) recollection is that comskip only works for mpg and dvr-ms format. Does it work for ts format recordings too?

If it does work for ts, then is there any reason he can't just manually run his ts format recordings through comskip to generate the comskip data files needed for ad-skipping during playback?

it does work for ts files for me but they are not as accurate but still give you an idea of where the adds are
but what i have noticed is that the black bars stop showing and i have to reboot to get them back restarting the gbpvr UI doesnt work

since applying the ts patch for files bigger than 4gb
and loading the latest version of comskip i have not had any missing black bars in the time line and comskip seems to be working better
not sure which fixed it cause it just seemed to start working again

What's the version you're using. It is the public release or restricted one?

perhaps I shouldn't speak for engnz, but I think he was asking about Comskip not gb-pvr. I gather there are newer versions of comskip than what are obviously available; perhaps one has to donate to get access to those?

I too would like to know which release of comskip stustunz is having good results with, as I've been unimpressed with comskip thus far.

just the latest public one 79_144
its still not as good as with mpeg files but i think thats more to do with the fact that the time line jumps around a little still but its still within 10 seconds most of the time
i dont really rely on comskip but i like as it gives me an idea of where i was up to if i stop watching since resume is not working on ts files yet almost like chapters
