i just rebuilt my htpc AGAIN beacuse i was having issues with recordings not being reliable etc putting this down to windows xp SP3 Sad - now im getting the message that VMR9 isnt available on my machine - what strange is im using the same video drivers and what not that i have always used so thought i would check with others to what they have done to get vmr9 working...oh one difference was that i built the machine with a windows xp SP1 disk and installed SP2 on top - instead of straight to SP3

cheers

Oh yeah. And current catalyst drivers have a bug that cause this with agp cards. There's a patch hidden on the ati site somewhere. Or revert to the early 6.x drivers.
