I have started having a problem with my client PC in streaming mode.

It was working but now I just get a blank screen when I select the recorded TV show to playback.

pvrx2.exe-native.log shows:

The server logs dont show anything. I thought it might be a firewall problem but I shut down the firewalls on both machines to no effect. CurrentPort software shows that the client has established on the server port 7968.

The only thing I can see is the findfilterbyname failure above.

Any ideas?

I don't know if it will help but maybe try runiing "Re-RegisterFilters.bat" in your gbpvr folder to register the filters.

No that isn't it. Thanks, but that was the 1st thing I tried.

when you ran the ReRegisterFilters.bat did you run it the client, server, or both?

If only one, suggest you try the other as well.
You might want to see if there are any .ax files in the GBPVR directory which are not listed in the batch file - and if there are, register them using the same syntax.

could it be a firewall type issue or a network share issue if it is not finding the network source?

my client went funny recently because the HDD on the sever had gone into PIO mode and (i assume) couldn't supply data to the client fast enough. this led to a few black screens. Maybe worth checking the DMA mode of the drives on your server if you can't find anything else....????

JonnyCam Wrote:when you ran the ReRegisterFilters.bat did you run it the client, server, or both?

If only one, suggest you try the other as well.
You might want to see if there are any .ax files in the GBPVR directory which are not listed in the batch file - and if there are, register them using the same syntax.

I had already run the reregister on both machines but I checked the client bat file and found GBPVRpush.ax wasn't listed. I added it and reran it and now it works again! Thank you very much!
