BekKen made this great plugin while touristing in Thailand. I, MixMan helped out with alpha, beta testing, design and ideas. mvallevand did the PopCorn Hour testing.

Overview
The Music Plugin is a fast database driven music player application with free text search and tag edit. The plugin have the same look and feel as Music Library
CD Player plugin lets you play audio CDs
The MusicScanner will update the database, search your .MP3, .M4A, .WMA, .WAV, .OGG and .FLAC music files and cover art while residing in the tray.

You can edit tags, so cover art will be downloaded for the song.

MixMan, a couple questions about Music plugin. One, does it play MP3's in track order when ripped from a CD? Also, I have all my music tagged by Windows Media Player, and some of it was tricky (I listen to stuff from the 60's and 70's and there were a lot of reissues). Could your plug in use the WMP tags? And finally, do you know where WMP stores the damn Tag data? I never did figure that out!!

Import of m3u and/or windows media player playlists to database.

Shuffle toggle button to play random songs from currently playing genre, playlist, artist, or album.

WMP holds a database in the documents and settings\all users\application data (for XP) I think. I also don't think it's a useful database like MDB or SQLite. Some proprietary one.

I would be interested in this plugin if I could choose from a list of composers. My collection mainly consists of classical music. I wouldn't mind if I had to drop the 'genre' choice.

He's been in Thailand for almost a year now.
He made this plugin while staying in a boring town in northern Thailand.
Maybe he will do some coding if he gets bored again.
I get some bugfixed binaries every now and then to test, but not so often.
I got an updated MusicScanner.exe yesterday, that also scans pictures and creates thumbnails with larger sizes. I know that he also is working on a background cover art download function for the MusicScanner.
We will have to wait for new featues and functions in the Music plugin.
Thats all I can say.....now.
