Just had a show in GB PVR and paused for about 45 minutes with the idea to unpause and watch and fast forward through the adverts.

But... it all went horribly wrong, the triangular shaped marker disappeared from the currently shifting show and the whole seek bar messed up so I lost everything.

Then I had the bright idea that I could quickly copy the file from the time-shift directory before GB PVR deletes it...

well, I was too late, just as I got to the directory it vanished and as you know does not go to the recycle bin the be retreived.

My question is - is there a way to put a delay on the deletion time of a time shift (which although is saving the show is techinically not a recording) so that it gives us time to at least locate the file and copy it somewhere is playback of timeshifting goes wrong?

Cheers all!
Sam!

Another question - can the time shift amount be changed, say to 2 hrs.? Would be a nice config entry!

Mike, I thought the time-shift amount was determined by how long the show was. So if in guide it is a 30 min show then the time shift is setup for 30 mins (etc) - or am I wrong there?

Having a delay so we can save the time shifted files would be extremly handy though!
