I have not been able to find this problem on any other threads. If I missed it I apologize for asking again.

I am using a PVR-500 card in a new (to me) computer running XP SP3. I have also used it in another computer running the same OS and have had the same problem.

When I set up my tuners in the config application, naming them tuner 1 and tuner 2, they work fine. If I check the recording status it reports acurately that the two Capture Sources are sleeping, recording, etc. Everything works fine.

When I reboot the computer, recordings fail and if I try to watch Live TV it kicks me back to the main menu. If I check Recording Status it shows that I have eight capture sources all named tuner 1. I then have to go into config, delete the two tuners, set them up again, re-schedule recordings and it works fine until I reboot and it starts all over again.

Anybody have an idea about this one?

It sounds like something is stopping your GB-PVR Recording Service from autostarting on boot up. If it isnt running, live tv would kick you back to the menu, and the tray app will shows the status of eight capture sources. After you hit ok in the config app its (re)starting the recording service.

Thanks for the reply sub.

I opened windows task manager and looked in the running processes. I see GBPVRTray.exe but I don't see any Recording Service application. What is it called? Do I need to drag it into my startup folder or is it supposed to start on it's own?

I went into the GB-PVR menu and clicked on "Restart Recording Service" and I got GBPVR RecordingService.exe in my processes but now my Recording Status shows Two each of Tuner 1 and Tuner 2. ????
