zap2xml suddenly not working

Hey all,

My epg has completely stopped working recently. I've been using zap2it for a little over a month with good results, but starting last week several chunks of time would have one show stretched across multiple hours. Finally yesterday it stopped working all together and I get no program information for any show at all.

I haven't changed anything in the updageepg.bat, and the xmltv.xml file is working and seems to have all the channel and show information. Any ideas?

Didn't zap2it stop providing TV listings months ago? I switched to SchedulesDirect in Sep 07. Maybe I'm just misunderstanding the problem.

Here is my recording service log for today. What confuses me is the line that says

2008-12-10 05:09:39.359 VERBOSE [10] Emptying EPG...

after it found shows for each channel...?

Open PVRx2.exe
Wait about a minute and then go to the TV guide.
Zip and post the pvrx2*.log files (including the -native).

Ignore the "Emptying EPG". This is because you have "Complete EPG reload" checked in Config. It clears existing info and loads the new info fresh.

If you scroll right about 24-48 hrs ahead in the guide, do you start to see listings? It looks like something is off on the times in your xml file:

Yeah, it looks like I have guide info for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday...

I'm attaching my epg xml file just in case. Any ideas what's causing it?

Zap2it stopped free access to it's servers from grabber software. Schedules Direct was born. However there is a scraper software that surfs through zap2it web guide.

The data satisfies some, but others feel it is lacking some information available from schedules direct..

Many people, when wanting a free (though not necessarily legit -- grey area), full info guide, use mc2xml (which ironically) uses the zap2it servers...

Are you using the latest zap2xml script? The zap2it web site changed recently so that zap2xml script was updated on its homepage.
