UK Freesat Channel 4 freq

Hope someone can help me.

When using my nova hd s2 on uk Freesat when i do a scan for channel 4 i get the below output


T:10714,H,22000,56~NID:32~ONID:2~TSID:2041~P:9211~V:2315~A:2317~L:eng~PMT:256~TXT:2321~PCR:2305~N:>Channel 4

However when i try to record the channel it fails.

Anyone know the correct working freq/id

I've also found Chanel 5 does not work either.

If you have access to a web server somewhere, and could put a 1 minute or so 'Full TS' recording from that frequency for me to download, I'll check it out for you.

Hi Sub, Thanks for replying so quick.

Please see image.

When I use my mvp and try to watch channel4, the mvphas a black screen and then goes back to main page.

If I set to record I get a file size of 0bytes.

I belive the Astra 2D satelite where Freesat Uk is transmitted has encrypted channel4 and aswell as a free version. Don't know if the scan found an encrypted channel.

I don't know if anyone else has the same problem.

Have you tried recording with the mux set to 'full ts'? Does it result in a larger file?

I also own a Nova T 500, If I change the BDA setting in the config from Cyberlink Muxer 5.0.0.1307 to Full TS does that affect my Freeview recordings?

If I record BBC1 on Freesat it records in mpeg2, however if I record BBCHD it records .ts These record all fine.

How does the BDA muxer settings affect this? Sorry for the dumb questions

Yes, it would if you left it set to 'full ts', but I'm only suggesting you do a one-off recording that way to collect a sample file for me, then you can set it back to whatever you currently have it set to.

I just pasted your cache file data into my spare machine and it brought up channel 4 OK

Hi sub,

The file is recorded from channel 4, its only about 20secs long.
