All sorts of weird stuff happening.

I use the Hauppauge remote sensor hooked to the hvr3000, but here seems to be a bunch on commands on my samsung that use similar codes.

Anything I can do about this?? the main painful one if the volume up seems to put the pvr into timeshift, or tries to shift back (ctrl-right) or something like that.

I suspect you might need to unplug the Hauppauge IR receiver and get an MCE remote...

Yep, you can probably do that.

What TV did you end up getting?

The samsung 46" IDTV (series 6).

I imagine if i use the Hauppauge remote, with USB-Uirt, that it will probably have the same problem?

If there are enough keys that do *not* overlap, you can remap the Hauppauge functions quite easily by adjusting your irremote.ini and keymappings files. Then, in a universal remote like a Logitech Harmony, you can adjust what each button sends. For example, I never use the native "mute", "volume up", and "volume down" functions on the hauppauge because volume is either punched through to the TV or my receiver. (My HTPC feeds each device full volume all the time). I am free to use and remap those button presses to any buttons on the keypad, and any functions within GB-PVR. If you think you might go down this road, feel free to PM me if you need a hand.

Hi, was about to send a pm, but thought the information might be useful for others.

Can you give an example (I'm guessing in remote.ini??) oh how you mapped it to something else, and how you told the logitech harmony remote to use that new code??

Based on that one example I should be able to figure out what I need.

I have the logitech 525.

Definately don't seem to have any conflicts here between the Samsung remote and MCE.
