I have just changed my DVB-S cards and my epg setup.

I cannot find out how to change the order of the channels though. It would appear they are in the order of the first epg extract.

Through config I have tried double clicking on channels etc to see if there are any properties but cant find anything.

Currently running V1.3.7 with two Nova-HS-S2 cards, epg from digiguide through XMLTV

My only though was to remove all the channels, but this seems a bit exreme as I guess I would have to map all the channels again.

The order is dictated by the channel numbers on the main channels tab of the config app. You can update the channel numbers there.

Oops, missed that tab altogether, but it still doenst help, BBC2 is 102 making it the second channel, but under "TV guide" it's not second on the list, it's a long way down.

The channels look like they're in the correct order to me, matching what is listed on the Channels tab.

I think what is confusing you is that you have "BBC2" and "BBC 2". The Channels tab is showing you all the channels in your database - they arent necessarily enabled channels. "BBC2" looks like its the remnants of some old EPG, which had slightly different name, and this channel isnt enabled in any of the capture sources you have. "BBC 2" on the otherhand is enabled, and is much further down the channel list, so is also shown further down the channel list in the tv guide.

I hope that makes sense. In summary, edit the channel numbers on the channels tab to put the current channels in the positions you want them.

If you click the 'remove unreferenced channels' button, it'll delete the channels no longer in use. Having old recordings linked to the old channels is enough to stop the old channel being removed.

Sub, thanks, I have recordings that are linked so that would be why it wont delete then.

thanks Steve
