This is what I get, I even tried the xmlin specification. Dragging and dropping didn't work. I was going to make xmlin=none, but I was afraid of screwing something up:
------------------

C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR>vidimport I:\DVR2\Recordings\ xmlin="C:\program fil
es\devnz\gbpvr\recording-dump.xml"
vidImport.exe version 1.01
Recursing directory/file: I:\DVR2\Recordings\
Default Xmlin = C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\recording-dump.xml
Settings used:
----> Gbprv Dir = C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\
----> Gbpvr Recording File = C:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\recording-dump.xml
----> Show File = C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\showDetail.txt
----> Autoimport = True
----> XmlOut = videos.xml
----> ImdbLookup = True
----> Autoimport = True
----> Season Prefix = .s
----> Epsiode Prefix = e
----> Episode Suffix = .
----> Include Season in Episode = False
----> Starting dir/file = I:\DVR2\Recordings\
Checking for gbpvr export file:C:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\recording-dump.xml
Reading gbpvr export: C:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\recording-dump.xml
Recursing: I:\DVR2\Recordings\

I'm not sure, but it says in the error message:
System.Core, Version=3.5.0.0,

I assumed that to be 3.5. Where do I look? Installed programs?

He is right you don't have .net 3.5 installed - it needs it to read meta data in dvr-ms files. You can download it underneath the vidimport download link.

I use vidimport to add downloaded tv shows that failed recording, or that i missed - it almost does what i want. Is it possible to import the file "The.Amazing.Race.S14E03.PDTV.XviD-2HD" to "The Amazing Race" under recordings, instead of "The.Amazing.Race.s14"

I already have my normal recordings in "The Amazing Race"

can you give me the syntax for that?

It recognize the season season string and that over-rides everything - if you put it in that directory ("The amazing race" and rename the file to something like ep03.avi" and drop the whole directory in it should do what you want.

I'm trying to setup a new GBPVR server with WinXP 64-bit.

When I try to use vidimport, it seems to run OK at first and generates the videos.xml file. However, when it gets to the point where it tries to run pvrx2 to import the file, I get the following error message pop-up box:

ConsoleApplication1 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I manually ran the import command with the xml file, and the things imported into GBPVR just fine.

I think that the problem may be that under 64-bit XP, pvrx2.exe is in
"C:\Program Files (x86)\devnz\GBPVR\" instead of "C:\Program Files\devnz\GBPVR\".

Any ideas or suggestions?

Hmm - it should know where it is installed it uses the registry key to install.

Can you run and send the vidimport log and perhaps use a screen shot of the console before close (use a cmd file with a pause in it)
