video inset

the old ui used to keep a video inset playing if you went to the menus from live TV - is this missing (and will this be coming back to PVRX2) or have I just forgotten a setting somewhere?

It's gone because PVRX2 uses an entirely different way to display graphics and it is/was not possible...

There has been call for this, but I don't think it's an easy (re)addition to make...

Would it be possible to at least keep the sound going? Or perhaps freeze the playback and offer to resume after viewing the menu?

It still does this (and always has). If you press 'home' while watching a video or live tv, then it switches into inset mode with the video over the desktop. This is exactly the same as the old ui.

Some skin might not be designed for the inset though, but try it with the Blue skin.

I thought it was the home key too, but it's not doing anything anymore. It's registering the keypress in the logs, but no action occurs.
I usually use community skin, but changed back to blue to test. Using VMR9 custom if thats relevant[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

You've got the inset disabled in your config.xml file.
