UK Freesat channel identification

I am experiencing a great deal of frustration identifying freeesat channels such as BBC3 and BBC4 , also some of the obvious free to air channels appear as encrypted probably the Sky version which is simpler to identify.

It would be very useful if any member who has already identified the channels could post their edited scan file onto the forum to assist us amateurs who may be struggling in mapping the Radio Times derived EPG to the channels.

More than cut down but some interesting detail added: How did you get the radio channels in? Did you manually enter the channel details? I don't get 1.3.7 to find even with <BDAIgnoreRadioDuringChannelScan>false</BDAIgnoreRadioDuringChannelScan>

This has resolved my problems finding BBC3 and 4 etc.

I don't get 1.3.7 to find

I couldn't get a sucessful scan at all from my Nova-HD-S2, so I used DVBDream with GBPVR PID Grabber tool plugged in.

Since my previous file is so cut down to just the channels I watch/listen to, I have made a (amonst) full file for all channels currently in the Freesat EPG (based on the list at http://www.joinfreesat.co.uk/index.php/freesat-channels

ITV HD can be found at the end of the file.

Hopefully useful for someone...

Thank you Neil for posting your scan cache - I have been re-using an old scan cache and over time several channels have stopped working, like Film 4+1 and LuxeHD, presumably because of changes to the frequencies or pids. And I never did have BBC News 24!
Using your cache file I got eveything back.
Like you, I have a Nova HD-S2 and cannot scan in GPBVR, as either it crashes or, if not, it misses channels. I will do a search for the PID grabber tool - never heard of it before.

Out of interest, since you have the same card, please let me know if you have any luck with Luxe HD since it doesn't work for me, but BBC HD and ITV HD work fine (so I am not that worried!)

Different tuner - ancient nova-s, won't scan either, but I've just checked luxe hd and it records fine - crashes pvrx2 watching it though. This could be my inadequate video hardware on the server as it plays ok on a better PC.

I was gobsmacked to see ITV HD was broascasting something other than their 'out of sevice' message

Ta for the link. Yes, Luxe HD works fine. The one in my old scan cache used AC3 sound, and stopped working a few weeks ago. However the version in your cache file works fine - the sound is now mpeg2. Not sure they ever broadcast 5.1 sound though, so not really an issue!
