Hi all, just a quick question about the new multi record function. It is my understanding that in order to record from the same tuner at the same time the channels need to be broadcast on the same frequency. How do I find out what frequencies are being used and is this standard throughout NZ and also the same for DVB-T and DVB-S?

A question now for sub, is there any plan at all to add some kind of visual reference to gbpvr so users can easily tell when multi record is available? I imagine when a recording is scheduled the programs at the same time on other channels on the same frequency could have an icon to show they are available for multi recording on the same tuner. This would really clear things up and prevent the loss of padding when recording two channels from one tuner. This multi record is an awesome feature and a method like I describe would really allow users to make the most of it.

Thanks.

Correct

Yes, they are standard thoughout NZ. Basically the TVNZ channels are one frequency and the Canwest channels are on the other (TV3/C4).

Sorry, its unlikely I'll do this. I hate clutter, and dont really want to put indicators on the TV Guide for this type of thing. If it cant record a show you want to record, it'll popup the conflict window.

Thanks sub, that makes sense now. Fair enough about adding it to TV guide, but how about when the record dialog is shown to record a second show at the same time if available on multi record a little icon could be added there that would prevent it taking up room in the TV guide. Just a thought mate. Cheers.
