Hi, I cannot install GB-PVR on my PCH. When I select the file GB-PVR.html, I get the three options, choosing GB-PVR gets me the error message "Request cannot be processed".

Vista Ultimate
Share C:\mvpmc with Guest and Everyone as Contributor. Password protected sharing is off.

Have attached logs in case it helps.

If anyone can help me i'd be greatful.

A couple of questions things actually look pretty good.

1. From you PC browser, can you access your PCH via this URL using your PCH's IP?

http://xx.xx.xx.xx:8883/network_share.html

If so? do you see MEDIA:mvpmc as one of the shares (case is sensitive)

2. Does the Network Browser method work? I can't see why it wouldn't.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the Response and thanks for the great install program, I am confident I will eventually get it working.

I can see the share in the URL, however, the share was called mvpmv. I changed it to Media:mvpmc and now it is working. So it was the share name that was bad... I wondered why when browsing PCH put no name in for it.

I am continuing on in the install. Thanks again Martin!

I am having the same problem. I installed GBPVR on my HP Mediasmart Server. I then created a share on my PCH:

smb://SERVER/mvpmc (also included username and password)

I can go into the network browse on the PCH, go to the GB-PVR.html, select either GB-PVR or GB-PVR Network Browse option, and I get "Request cannot be processed".

I also typed this address into my PC and can see the mvpmc share on my PCH:

http://xx.xx.xx.xx:8883/network_share.html

Any thoughts?

dbone1026, the Network Browser option only works with a guest share so you need to concentrate on the first choice. The reason I ask to view that web page isn't so much to see if the mvpmc share is there, it is to confirm that the name matches what is in GB-PVR.html The default is hostname:mvpmc but I have noted many people change that even though the guide says not to.

If you do change it that isn't a problem, but you need at step to edit the line in GB-PVR.html that says

Code:
<a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/NETWORK_SHARE/hostname:mvpmc/gbpvr.cgi">GB-PVR</a>

Remember to use a linux style editor though. Notepad is no good.

Martin - appreciate the response. When I created the share in the PCH, I named it mvpmc. When I open up the GB-PVR.html, I already see that code you mentioned. Is there something else I am missing that you can think of, appreciate any help. Let me know if there is any other info I can provide on my setup. Thanks.

Code:
<a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/NETWORK_SHARE/HPSERVER:mvpmc/gbpvr.cgi">GB-PVR</a>

Ok, if you want to name it mvpmc you have to edit GB-PVR.html and change HPSERVER:mvpmc to just mvpmc If you don't want to install an editor you can rename it to HPSERVER:mvpmc on the PCH

Thanks, i just renamed the share name on the PCH to HPSERVER:mvpmc as suggested. From the PCH now when I go to GB-PVR a message pops up saying mount with PCH IP Address. Then a message pops up saying:

mkdir:cannot create director
