I'm using the built in transcode function. The compressed files are still a little big. How can I adjust the bit rates.

edit the config.xml file in notepad. there is a section called <CustomFFmpegConversions>
for xvid, alter -qscale 5. qscale is the constant quality setting. Increase number to lower quality and reduce fle size. constant quality a the name suggests is designed to ensure the quality is fixed, rather than the filesize. If you want a fixed target size, you will need to change this to 2 pass VBR encoding. for dixv, you need to alter the bitrate value of -b 1000k http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...vid+qscale http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...vid+qscale HTH
