When I use TS Mux for recording, when playing back recorded files on MVP, the total show length shows as 1 second.

I also have trouble skipping. Whenever I try to skip, it will always skip backwards, usually to the start of the recording.

I have applied the latest patches (V1.3.11) and have updated the config file with the appropriate MvpTranscode entries.

Recording using DVR-MS do not exhibit the same symptoms.

Has anyone else had these problems or found a solution?

Simple answer is yes I have similar problems on some recordings & I am trying to get something in the way of transcode to .mpg in postprocessing to fix these recordings without much luck at the moment Sad

Have you read this thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=38770 it has a new patch from sub for this problem & information about having to add the MvpTranscode entry & a MVPTranscode entry into config.xml that seems to have fixed some peoples problems, & I have to say it has fixed the 1 second problem for me, but now I sometimes get things like start time of 3.39 & finish times of 4.00 & so can't skip on those recordings.

Thanks Jaggy,

I found that thread when searching, but missed the PVRX2 patch.

I will try tonight with the PVRX2 patch. I already have the "MVPTranscode" and the "MvpTranscode" settings in place. Will also try renaming to mpg and see what happens.

Problem fixed with the patched PVRX2 from the above mentioned thread.

If anyone else is having these problems, take note of the above mentioned thread, especially the TWO areas of the config for MvpTranscode and the two seperate statements with differing case.

TS Files now show correct length and skipping appears to be OK.

If you are still reading this thread could I ask you what you ended up with under your MAC address entry?

The reason I ask is because if I have any of the size/offset entries, even after playing with the MVPPosition plugin, it makes my MVP screen update very slow & stuffs up MLPanel big time.

The only thing I put in there was the MVPTranscode entry.

From memory there was a section that appears to be common to all MVP's so I assumed that the other settings were being read from that section and then the MAC specific overrides.

No update or refresh problems and all seems OK.

Thanks for that. That is exactly what I did to start with until Martin told me it was wrong. I think I will go back to that & play some more Smile

Jaggy, I never said you were wrong, the values I provided were simply sub's defaults I have no idea what is best for you. Also perhaps sub's defaults don't play well with Blue-Retro-SHV?

Just a quick follow up on this.

Sorry Martin if I got the wrong impression from your message.

There is something funny/odd with the <MVPWidth> <MVPHeight> <MVPOffsetX> <MVPOffsetY> settings when using the specific MAC address settings on my hardware/combination as anything entered in them causes the screen refresh in the menus to go very slow & not work properly with both the blue skin & B-R-SHV (it really screws up MLPanel & I can't have that).

I downloaded the MVP Position plugin to get the correct settings for my TV & when entered under my specific MAC address I get the slow menus but when entered under the <MAC-DEFAULT> setting they work fine. Anyway no worries the setting that suit the TV in the sitting room also suit the bosses TV in the bed room & it is only the birds TV that isn't right, but it is centered better than before with the default setting so I can live with that Smile

Now back onto getting .ts recordings to work some how with my system  I feel like I am going round in circles & I am back to the beginning again wondering if it is basically a signal problem.

Is it possible that you have incremental updates set to true? mlpanel doesn't work with it?

As for ts files, in many ways I regret that sub added this support even though I asked for if for so long. I think people's expectations were a little too high and the reality is proving to be a little disappointing.
