Parts of Config not updating

First, great program and have been using for 10 months or so with almost no issues.

I have just updated to 1.3.11 hoping that a very minor problem might have been fixed. A while back I had a crash and decided to remove GB-PVR and then re-install. Now parts of the config that I am editing don't seem to update when I run PVRX2.

Took screen dumps of the config settings that I had been using so that I could easily reupdate. I uninstalled using the windows uninstall. Thought that I had deleted everything but possibly not. Then ran the .msi for 1.2.13 which I had previously donwloaded.

I updated the config to what it had been before (1.2.13) and started using PVRX2 again. Noticed that the 'standard' Plugins that I had unselected in congif seemed to still display as options in the main menu of PVRX2. Also noticed today that when I changed a skin in 1.3.11, the skins do not seem to change when mod'd in config.

I open both programs through Start/all programs/GB-PVR folder in Vista Home Premium.

When I go back into config, it has not 'saved' the changes that I made.

Couldn't find anything specific on the forums so thought I should join and ask.

Could be Vista file protection getting in the way. Try deleting the "C:\Users\<your account>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Devnz" directory.

Thanks for the quick update. Have played around a bit.

It would appear that I need to delete this folder each time that I update the config, only then will it reflect the changes.

Not sure why, but it works.

Have got the config file back to where I want it, but is there a permanent fix for this?

Delete that directory, then view the properties of the config.xml file, and set the security permissions to allow full access for all users.

Hi Sub.

I have just re-installed VISTA-64 Home Premium to resolve a problem with the DVB-T plugin (drastic, I know). I got this issue with the fresh install of GB-PVR 1.3.11 + all patches (never seen it before, and I've been running VISTA-64 for a year now).

I deleted the "C:\Users\<your account>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Devnz" folder, and everything burst into life. The permissions on my config.xml file look to me like all users should have permission to read/write to it (on my system).
