Shortcuts in Music / Video Libraries

Hello,

I can't seem to get .lnk shortcuts working in either the Music or Video Library. Is this feature not supported anymore? I know it did work a few upgrades ago.

It still works, but there is a small number of people that get an error in their logs due to some Windows Shell component not being able read the lnk files. I'm not sure what is different about these machines.

Great scott! I was wondering why I couldn't edit my post, you'd replied within seconds!!

I did have them working on the machine before, but since deleted the shortcuts and updated GBPVR a couple of times. I don't get any error messages, the links just don't show up in PVRX2. Is this the problem you identified?

Any error messages in pvrx2.exe.log when you view a directory with .lnk files?

Discovered what it was. I feel a bit of an eejit.

I was creating a link in the Video Library to the DVD-Drive so I could watch DivX disks. I'd assumed it'd still show the link even without a disk in the drive. I'm guessing you thought of that when you programmed the shortcut handling and, sensibly, it doesn't show shortcuts to drives with nothing in them.
