For some reason a hour long recording (todat's Lost) stopped at 33:40 altought the status indicator was going on for the whole hour. there was a second recording at the same time overlapping the first 30 minutes (Rick Steve travels) that one turned out OK. the odd thing is that i see this in the logs:

Quote:2009-03-04 21:33:40.921 VERBOSE [10] Conversion thread configured for ASAP

which is the exact length of the file. but the signal monitoring continues till 22:02:

Quote:2009-03-04 22:01:59.359 VERBOSE [5] Checking signal status on Hauppauge HVR-950:2
2009-03-04 22:02:00.171 VERBOSE [5] Recording has passed endtime+padding. Stopping.

2009-03-04 22:02:00.640 VERBOSE [5] Checking signal status on Hauppauge HVR-950:2
2009-03-04 22:02:00.640 VERBOSE [5] RecordingStatus is now RecordingStatus.RECORDING_COMPETED

2009-03-04 22:02:00.734 VERBOSE [5] Save(): Updated existing scheduled recording

i'm scratching my head here...

We've seen recordings stop mid way through with the Cyberlink and ATI muxes in the past with ATSC channels, so it might be worth seen if the problem gos away with the DVR-MS or TS Mux.

thanks for the quick reply! it's the first time this happened since i started using GBPVR at version 0.98... i also see you have new PSI patches so i should probably download those. it's amazing that the signal monitoring continues and never drops below optimal...

I experienced the same problem over the past week or so with QAM on cable after I switched from TS to ATI Mux to give it a try. I never had this problem with the TS Mux, but 3 out of 5 recordings in the past week stopped somewhere in the middle. I've got the latest patches applied, so I think it's something in the stream that the ATI Mux can't handle. Logs show successful completion at the appointed time, with no messages between the start recording and stop recording entries. Going back to TS Mux tonight.

What's the difference between TS and ATI Mux ? i've always used ATI except for a short time when i used multi record and had to go to TS.
