PVRX2 stopped working (Live TV kicks back to main)

Hello guys,

I encountered a strange problem. It is software based for sure because all works fine on my secondary Win XP x64, however in Vista x64 i had rare trouble when quickly changing channels. The issue happens especially when switching between sources (digital vs analog) and usually when trying to jump a few channels at once with arrow keys.

Result of above scenario is that PVRX2 hangs (black screen) and after a while it starts displaying video (vista x64 displays Data Execution Prevention warning that PVRX2 was closed while it was not), but suddenly audio becomes seriously offset (a few seconds) and when changing channels again the audio from previous channel still stays on for a few seconds even during switching.

Besides that i had no other issues what so ever ... until last night when the issue happened again and now LIVE TV mode in main menu doesn't work anymore, it always kicks me back to main menu. at same time WinTV works fine.

I attached logs for sub, man i believe in your wisdom, please give me a hint. i already re-installed Hauppauge drivers for Vista with no luck. perhaps something is wrong now with my config file (corrupted?) which i also attached.

It looks like you're trying to tune channels that havnt been mapped. Check your digital capture sources dont have eny enabled channels that havnt been mapped.

you were right (as always man)!

the problem was that i had 1 channel (no 17 WGNAMER) listed and enabled in both sources analog and digital, moreover it was not mapped in digital tuner. Unchecked it in digital tuner and That fixed it!

I also noticed 3 new channels in analog source, overlapping channels that i already had but referenced on the end of channel list (nos 99-101 also listed in Channels tab) and corresponding to channels 8, 30 and one unreferenced at all.

I assume they show up after EPG update as those channels seem to share its frequency with others (causing to be listed twice). I delete them on regular basis, but is there anyway to lock channel list so they do not appear anymore?

This is probably happening because your EPG source has renamed some channels. Go into your capture source and remove both the old and new channels using those channels, then ok out of the config app, then go back in and hit the 'update epg'. This should cause the correct channel names to be pulled in.

in deed those channels had a name change and after removing both old & new from both sources (only one was checked of course) and refreshing EPG it's all good now (single channels appear).

however I see that by default GB-PVR enables new channels for all capture sources, so user needs to be careful to disable one of them and set digital mapping if available. i think it may cause Live TV lock ups whenever user scrolls through them after let's say new channel (or new channel name) comes up in EPG and becomes enabled by default in both analog and digital tuners handled by GB-PVR.
