I got Freesat up and running at the weekend and watched the rugby in HD, I have a few interlacing bugs to iron out but appart from that it looks good.

The only real problem I have is that so far any attempt to record it results in no file being created, not even a 0kb one, it does create the folder though.

I get this in the recording service log:
Code:
2009-03-16 21:50:30.265    ERROR    [5]    Error starting recording: System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Length cannot be less than zero.

I'm using the TS mux, CoreAVC, system default AAC and the other audio one (I know I'n naughty I should explicitley specify one!!)

As far as I know other people have this working with almost the same settings....help

Check your "Hauppauge Nova-DT" capture sources. It sounds like the channel is listed there as enabled, but with no tuning information. You'll need to disable the channel in those capture sources.

Gotcha, I'm not sure how that could have happened. I'll give it a whirl tonight.

Thanks

That has caught me in the past - a problem of using a common XML source for all tuners.

p.s. Any chance of a config.xml option to default to unticked when a new channel appears in the EPG? If I add a new satellite channel I have to go through four dvb-t sources to disable it on them.

Right nearly there, its recording but on play back I only see a very zoomed in part of the screed where the HD logo is. Live TV is still ok.

Also is there any way to stop the processing options in config running on h.264 recordings, I need something like an exclude certain channels.

This is most likely related to the video decoder you're using.

Are you talking about PostProcessing.bat? The statements executed in this batch file are entirely up to you. GBPVR does pass the channel number as a second argument to this batch file, so you can do stuff conditionally on the channel number if you need to.

Yes I'm on coreAVC but other seem to have it working, I'll have a play...

Quote:Are you talking about PostProcessing.bat?

No I was talking about the conversions embedded in config.xml accessed by the processing tab, I haven't got around to setting up a postprocessing.bat (yet). I am concerned that If I use postprocessing.bat I assume it runs imediatley after recording stops...if so I dont have the cpu headroom available if I'm still watching live HD tv.

..unless (which I doubt) it honors the time set in the config for the built in processing?

Just had a play...this is beyond me. By chance I thought I'd switch from TS mux to ATI mux mainly because it would solve my processing problem.

With the ATI mux and nothing else changed In live tv I get the same massivley zoomed picture that I saw from a recording earlier with the TS mux. It is repeatable and reversable.

Any clues?

Graph edit crashes when I try to open lastgraph so thats no help.

Ignore that, it's the same no matter what the mux selected is which makes much more sense.

Live Tv ok
Recorded Tv zoomed big time
