I have been getting the following error in my MVP-PVRX2.exe.log

2009-03-18 18:23:21.351 ERROR [6] Error initializing panel plugin: C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\plugins\TV Listings\TV Listings.dll
2009-03-18 18:23:21.351 ERROR [6] Item has already been added. Key in dictionary: 'TVRecordings' Key being added: 'TVRecordings'
2009-03-18 18:23:21.726 ERROR [6] at System.Collections.Hashtable.Insert(Object key, Object nvalue, Boolean add)
at System.Collections.Hashtable.Add(Object key, Object value)
at GBPVR.Backend.Common.xc4f12ec3a8a4c96b.xd1ccdef346e6a297(Boolean x8bae2a88590d8cc0)
2009-03-18 18:23:24.945 WARNING [6] Received unknown request of type: 0

I know the error is about TV Listings but it appears in the MVP log file and not the PVRX2 log file so I'm thinking it may be related more to MVP than TV Listings. I also get the messages in the CONFIG log.

I've posted this question in the TV Listings thread also. http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post328940 At this point I would take help from anywhere.

Any ideas on what this is and how to eliminate it?

Other than seeing the message in the log, is it actually causing any problem?

When I start up my MVP sometimes it takes a very long time with a lot of retries before it actually starts up GBPVR. I was wondering whether this was what was causing that to happen.

Also, I'm a bit surprised at your and alibert's lack of concern about error messages. Why aren't you guys concerned that something isn't working as expected?

I generally dont get too concerned about any problems reported with plugins, and typically leave it for the plugin developer to investigate. If I followed through and resolved every small problem reported, I'd need about 5 clones... There just isnt enough hours in the day.

At first glance, the error message looked like the type of thing you'd get if two plugins returned the same name (in this case the panel and plugin), or if you had a plugin installed twice. It didnt show anything that made me think it was some problem with the app that I should be investigating.

If I tried to analyze ever error I saw in a log, I'd be typing all night. Rather than posting log snippets, I personally prefer to see the entire log with an explanation of the problem.

Yeah, I'd have to agree. I would typically have taken a better look if the whole log was there.

I can appreciate that. With you already having over 5,300 posts, you must be typing for most of the night.

I've attached two logs, one from CONFIG and one from the MVP. They may not have correesponding times but I didn't think that was important. They do show how both CONFIG and MVP see the issue.

You'll probably need to set the logging level back to 'debug' too. It gives a much more detailed picture of what is happening.

I was about to suggest that I do that.

Here is the CONFIG log after setting to DEBUG logging.

I've also attached the MVP log because, although it doesn't have the error, it does have info about the versions of various applications.
