I am a user of GBPVR with a MVP and thought I would try out a refurbished PCH-A110. I used NMTInstall to set it up and received the "Request Cannot be processed" error message. I read all the threads I could find on the subject, checked the share name, installed new firmware, tried NMTChecker (which gives me a "Application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy..." error message". Any ideas on what I can try next?

Thanks,
Tom

Sorry I can't help without that output, what security policy is preventing NMTCheck from running? It does try to connect to devices on your local LAN.

Ok, that actually looks pretty good. Did you power off and on your PCH and try to connect using the first option? If so. is your PCH on the same subnet as your GBPVR server?

I did power it off many times but I was using "GB-PVR via Network Browser". It works fine when I use the first option! Is that what I use? I thought I was using the one that the instructions directed me to.

Thanks!

Great, your NMT Check did look good I was wondering why it didn't work. NMTInstall tries to set up option 1 and it is where you want to get to, option 2 is primarily for testing the share. I have now idea why it didn't work, I would still possibly suspect firmware, what version shows on the NMT Setup Maintenance screen?

I didn't write down the version it came with but it was newer than the minimum you said it needed. I upgraded it to 01-17-100317-15-POP-403-000 and had the same problem. Thanks for the speedy help!

Ok, I would guess you have some block on guest access but sometimes Windows networking eludes me. You have had a long evening searching and you should play a bit. I would like to find out sometime if with this newer firmware you can see the version number on NMT Check? The file you uploaded didn't have it.

I did find that guest access was not originally enabled but corrected that early on and it didn't help.

I just ran NMTCheck again and attached it but I don't see the version number. Are you talking about the 404 error? It is on the same subnet (PCH 192.168.0.5 and GBPBR 192.168.0.3) and the firewall is turned off for testing. Please let me know if you want me to check anything else and thanks again for your speedy help.

The 404 error is good (it means your web server is working) I was hoping I could find why I can't scrape you version number. Could you use your browser to go to http://192.168.0.5:8883/maintenance.html and then save the source html and send me a copy. It's more to help the next person.

Not being able to browse your machine without logging in likely relates to some Windows setting, I just don't know what that would be. For GBPVR use that isn't important.
