I have noticed that after playing a dvd in GB-PVR and exiting back to the main screen (usually by pressing the stop button during the credits of the film), any directional button I press afterwards (left, right, etc.) will restart the dvd from the beginning with the resume/restart options.

Pressing restart, then stop will exit me out. If I press resume, the program hangs.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Did ya'll figure this out? I have noticed the same things. If I press a directional button then it pulls up the dvd asking if I want to restart or resume. But, if I press TV or something similar on my remote it goes to the tv as it should.

sub, this is the bug talked about in http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post299521 (I think you were out of the country at the time). I don't experience the application hanging though.

I've had this on all GBPVR machines for as long as i can remember.

we just jab wildly at the stop button 'til it stops again!!

funny, I've never seen this on any of my gb-pvr incarnations and I use DVD's (both real and ripped) all the time.

edit: oh, I see. I don't use the screensaver, which apparently is what causes this issue. I watch hulu, netflix via an external task, and when the GB-PVR screensaver kicks in in the background, it causes hitches in the playback.

Interesting... I don't really need to use the screen saver. I will check that out this evening. Thanks for the tip whurlston.

I made some changes to DVD playback a few weeks ago, which I'm fairly sure indirectly fixed this for the next release. I've just tried to reproduce the described problem now and it seemed to behave correctly.

It also corrected the problem with stopping DVD playback initiated from a screen like Video Library would cause the app to drop back to the main menu.

So testing the dvd playback without the screensaver active seems to have fixed it for me. Thanks again for the help.
