Sub, I've got my DVB-T tuners set to use TV3 - not TVC (AC3).

For Live preview it does what I want, it uses the monogram codec.

But why for recordings does it use the AC3? I've had to tell ac3filter to not use spdif for AC3

When it comes to TS Mux recordings, it records all the streams associated with a channel (multiple audio channels, DVB Subtitles etc). When it later goes to play that recording, it has no idea what channel mappings you had, so doesnt know which of the audio options you'd originally mapped to. It just uses the default (first) audio stream, which is AC3 with TV3.

The other mux options only record the specific audio/video pids you chose during the mapping, so you'd only end up with HE-AAC audio in the file.

Do you know if you have any interaction with ac3filter? or if there's api calls to use it's different modes?

In the sys tray I have a spdif on and spdif off do you know know they are api callable? By default it looks like I'm going to leave it off, or my tv doesn't deal with the ac3.

But if they were api callable i cout get something to turn off spdif via remote etc.

GB-PVR doesnt currently know anything about ac3filter. Its just a decoder from GB-PVR prespective, so I've never looked into any API it exposes.

I could see about updating the reader filter to prefer HE-AAC though? It might need a registry setting.
