Hi

I did have this going and then playing with the drivers a bit when I moved my tuner cards around (had to since I have a new graphics card that uses more than one slot....)

But anyway, TV1, TV2 is fine, but tv3 doesn't see to record properly.

On the pvr system audio comes through, but no video, this also happens on the popcorn.

I'm guessing drivers, but last time I ran hwclear I had to re-install drivers for the pvr500 and the hvr3000.

Do you get the same think with live tv for FreeviewHD?

Can you record C4 (ie another channel on the same frequency)?

Yes I get the same with live tv, and yes C4 seems to do it as well. I've tried TV3 with AC3 and with AAC and it's still the same.

Very strange that one transponder has issues and the others are ok. Espeically when I did work.

On live TV I get a picture, but its one frame per 10-25 seconds.

Can you check if the TV3/C4 frequencies you have mapped are those that your antenna is pointing at? When I scan, I pick up multiple copies, some better than others.

I'm not really sure. The cache file indicates one the single copy found.

Since its happening on TV3 and C4, it certainly sounds reception related. Maybe you're running off a rusty old beaten up antennea, or signal is marginal?

Maybe, but it did work fine before last weekend. This is one of the cards I didn't more, so I wouldn't have thought it would need it's drivers re-installed. But in re-doing the pvr500 ones, I had to re-install the hvr3000 drivers as well.

Any way to verify my strength signal?

I'm not aware of any generic signal strength checking utility, and unfortunately nearly all BDA devices seem to report their signal info different ways.

My HVR4000, which is close as I can get to your HVR3000, reports the following on TV3 in the -native.log files, and works well:

2008-12-12 09:29:00.175 VERBOSE locked=1 present=1 strength=-7000 quality=100

What is reported in your logs?

Hmm, something very strange happening here.

Here is TV2
2008-12-12 09:41:33.159 VERBOSE locked=0 present=0 strength=-41000 quality=0

Which I'm currently watching.....and has picture....

TV3:
2008-12-12 09:42:44.159 VERBOSE locked=0 present=0 strength=0 quality=0

which makes it look like signal but nothing has changed in this area, I'll try pulling the cables and putting them back in..
C4:
2008-12-12 09:45:14.284 VERBOSE locked=0 present=0 strength=-41000 quality=0

Similar numbers to Tv2 but no picture.
