My shows haven't had commercials skipped since February. Not sure why. What can I check in the logs?

me neither, if i use the config setting...
but if i use parallelprocessing.bat it does...

does using recordingstatus.bat force using the processing.bats?

If its not running comskip, then check if you've got a PostProcessing.bat file. If you have created one of these files, then you're required to run comskip yourself from the PostProcessing.bat.

If you have both (or even just one of them), then comskip won't run unless you explicitly tell it to run in one or both of them. It seems unlikely that it worked for a while, then broke and there are now two reasons for it to be broken, so the reason it's broken now is likely to be: 1) you added parallel or postprocessing.bat without explicitly using them to run comskip, or .... 2) you do have comskip explicitly set to run in them, but it's now broken. Which is it?
If it's 1) then removing them should fix it, provided you left comskip processing enabled in config. If it's 2) then I'd focus on comskip itself or paths to comskip set in the bat files.

Good Luck.

exactly the problem, if i remove the .bats and setup in config to use comskip, then it still doesn't work...i know it used to...but it's been several upgrades since..

i was just wondering if recordingstatus.bat is included in the bats you can't have if you want the built in comskip-kickoff to work...
i want to keep my recordingstatus.bat but still use built-in comskip, but it doesn't seem to work for me..

just confirmed....it won't run even tho i renamed all 3 batch files...restarted rec service and client app..

might it be related to rec service logon account? i'm running it as a user...

update: nope, tried it as local service w/interact and still no go...Sad
where should comskip be located? i have it in gbpvr dir..
i have it set to run during recording in config...
i'd upload logs but there doesn't seem to be any mention of comskip in them except for /DisableComskipDuringPlayback settings read..

Do a recording, then zip and attach the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log and I'll take a look.

I'm not home to check the code, and cant remember the parallel processing as well as the post processing, so can you post logs that shows a recording when not configured to run comskip in parallel.
