Can I add a share password?

I do have a question though, is there a procedure to setup the NMT to use a un/pw to access the GB-PVR box? I'm a bit of a paranoid and have always disabled the Guest Account and Simple File Sharing in XP, and would be interested in a way to do this again while maintaining the functionality of the NMT.

Hopefully someone can help. Don't be lulled into a false sense of security though by doing it poorly, access control is far more important. As an example as long as telnet is enabled on your PCH the passwords are easily available in one command.

I do use a username/password with my setup. However, I set this up ages ago and it is no where near as simplistic as the setup is today. I too have the Guest Account disabled (renamed as well). My GBPVR program runs on a file server that has some data that I want to protect. Therefore, I have a user account that only has full access to the MVPMC share that I use for my PCH.
