Recording First Run

Is there a way to schedule to record just the "first run" (new) show of a series instead of every single time it airs (reruns)? For example I have CSI scheduled to record as a series but it records not only the new show on thursday night but each daily show in syndicate. I just want to be able to record only the new shows of a series.

already is, KingArgylye (or jorm or reven) was looking into adding something like in one of their Recording plugins - they may pipe in at some stage,
