XMLTV XML file download made easy. Just select Profile and click on Run button.

This program enables you to schedule execution of XMLTV downloaders.
It will run a timer before scheduling execution and reside in the Tray.
The scheduling differs from other schedulers that schedule on a specific time.
EPGscheduler counts down the time to next execution of the downloader.
You can edit and save your preffered downloader settings into "profiles"
The "profiles" are stored in the sub directory "./Profiles"
The program can also run a batch file hidden, before and after running the XMLTV downloader.
The batch files are located in the sub directory "Commands"
The batch file, post-downloader.bat will as default execute the batch file UpdatePVRX2.bat, that will run 3 command lines to update the PVRX2 database.
You can run EPGscheduler, exe with the command line -config, to have to EPGscheduler on the desktop or you can click on the icon in the tray.

I have made a ZIP that contains Open Source GPL and LGPL programs.
The EPGscheduler program and Profiles for these downloaders.
epg downloader - XMLTV from SourceForge
epg downloader - WebEPG from MediaPortal
epg downloader - XMLTV GUI from Birtles
epg - external DVB EPG update

Beta testers wanted for making country specific profiles and configuration files.
Best Regards

Create Profiles for a XMLTV downloader
EPGscheduler can resolve the GBPVR InstallDir that can be used as a variable.
This will mean that the ZIP will work on all different Windows languages and installation directories.
Default location for EPGscheduler.exe is %InstallDir%/TVguide/ (I might make an installer package later)
Default XMLTV xml file name is %InstallDir%/TVguide/TVguide.xml

I also included a html based XMLTV file viewer, that lets you have a look at the current xmltv file.

MixMan, it looks very useful, but I have one question. I am using whurlston MCE based system because it works but also because I only have to download the listing once and it parses smaller XMLTV files for the NTSC, ATSC and QAM tuners. Is this possible with EPG Scheduler?

The EPGScheduler will be very easy to use for a first time user.....or if the EPG needs to be updated manually.
The EPG Scheduler, just runs other command line downloaders, saves the data to a file named TVGuide.xml and updates the GBPVR database.
The main difference compared to the GBPVRs update function, is that the PC can be turned off at night. The EPG will be downloaded and updated when EPGScheduler starts the first time, then thr download will be sheduled at a specified "countdown" time.

I have recently switched to MC2XML for my listings so I'll give it a shot. Sounds interesting.

I just updated the Installer with some Profiles that I had "forgotten" for mc2xml. United States, Canada, Russia, Portugal, Taiwan, Slovakia .....

This Installer does not register with Windows, so you can install it as many times you want.....it will not affect your mc2xml configuration.
(MC2XML creates a MC2XML.DAT file when it is configured. If you want a new configuration, you need to delete the mc2xml.dat file.)

If you want to remove the EPGScheduler, just delete the TVGuide sub directory.

The EPGScheduler program is Open Source at whatever licence you want, so Sub can include the program or Profiles in a GBPVR build if he wants.
Reven can use it with his downloader if he wants.
I hope it makes EPG scheduling easier.

If anybody, has made a Profile or Config file for a downloader, please post it and I will include it in the Installer.
Best Regards
