recongi = recording :p

I'm wondering how to cancel or rather stop a recording where the show has ended but it's till recording because of the post padding.
I just made a cancel in the EWA of it so I could start watching another channel where a movie was about to start but the cancel deleted the whole recoding.
I need this sometimes then the post padding isn't really necessary 'cos the show has ended and I need the tuner to watch another channel.

Using the EWA, if you go into the guide and click on the show, if it is currently recording, the screen will offer a "Cancel Recording" button. If the show has finished recording, the screen will offer a "Delete Recording" button, otherwise it will offer the normal "Record Show" button.

A delete recording will not work if comskip is still running as the file will be in use.

I know the Cancel button is there since I canceled the recording, but should it really delete the already recorded show? As this one did?

I use the EWA Cancel button quite a lot and I've never had it delete the recording. Also, AFAIK, post processing won't run if a show is cancelled.

Hmm, weird then. we'll see if this happens again sometimes.
The good part is the the show is on rerun but the bad part is that it's late and this weekend and I might not be home Sad

Have you looked at EWA's AutoSearch/AutoRecord and command line EWA Search features? You can set EWA up to automatically find and record shows by show name/description (or part of) for any/all channels/times. Apart from the occasional movie, I don't set up any recordings manually - EWA does it all...

hmm no i havent
But i did try to search for this episode when the rerun was about to show, but it didnt find it.
I had to go look for it myself in EWA and then I found it.
I just searched for 'Anne' without quotes and that word is in the show. It did find another show with this in but not the one I was looking for.

What version of EWA are you using? - you can find the version by hovering your mouse over the GBPVR copyright notice at the bottom of the page.

So, on the Episode Search tab, you typed Anne into the Search For Phrase box, clicked Submit and it didn't find the show? did you have the Case Sensitive check-box ticked?

The only CopyRight I see is this: '© 2009 devnz.com and others' and this won't show any version and by hovering over the top image GB-PVR just gives me the version of the GBPVR itself (I think)

And for the searching no, that's not ticked.
I just made the same search and not it finds ALOT!! of thing with Anne in it, very weird, but I think this matter is OK, for now :p
