How To Cancel Single Episode?

I think I know how this works, but I just wanted some verification.

If I have a recurring schedule set, but I want to cancel it for one time only, do I accomplish that by going into Pending Recordings, and canceling that particular episode?

I just want to make sure that will cancel the one episode, and not the entire season.

You are correct. If you cancel a single pending episode, the recurring recording will still be in place.

If you ever wish to cancel all recordings of a particular show, select Recurring from the Recordings menu and delete the Recurring job for that show.

You have it right. Canceling the Pending recording doesn't affect future recordings. I do this quite often to avoid reruns in season recordings.
